- Las comunidades humanas de todas las épocas tuvieron que resolver el problema del orden social. Tuvieron que desarrollar reglas de comportamiento y procedimientos para determinar cuándo esas reglas fueron violadas. Esto dio origen a los sistemas de justicia. - Los griegos tenían juicios populares con un gran número de jurados. Cualquier ciudadano podía ir con su documento de identidad el día del juicio para participar como jurado. Era una placa de bronce con tu nombre llamada pinakion. Insertabas el pinakion en una ranura de una piedra llamada kleroterion. Un oficial echaba unas bolas blancas y negras por un tubo en un costado. Si en tu fila caía una bola blanca, te asignaban como jurado en un juicio. Si caía bola negra, te ibas a tu casa. Así, el kleroterion era un bolillero antiguo que garantizaba transparencia en la elección del jurado.
- La justicia en Grecia era una justicia entre pares, donde se consideraba que todos los ciudadanos tenían derecho a participar.
