Money is a key driver of our society. Where does the journey go? We are having conversations about ethics and exponential technology, cryptocurrency and community. Everything sounds big and no body really knows. The Silicon Valley has grown strong in showing directions and giving outlooks. We are introducing you to some key players in the field and want to seed a new understanding of innovation, ignite new conversations and invite you to being the virus of a new era, when you go back home, with a backpack of fresh thinking. The game is changing. Be part of it

Poster presentation at the 7th Molecular Quantum Mechanics Symposium, Lugano, Switzgerland, 2-7 June, 2013 Abstract: Mo/ZSM-5 is a promising catalyst for non-oxidative methane dehydroaromatization with benzene as the main product. Initial Mo oxide species in ZSM-5 are known to convert to carbide or oxycarbide nanoparticles but the structure of these nanoparticles has not been systematically studied. The current study systematically evaluates the structure and activity of Mo carbide nanoparticles as a function of their size and composition

Biotech foods ('GMOs') are safe. Period. That may seem like a bold statement, but it comes with the weight of a huge body of research and global consensus among preeminent health organizations. To understand the safety of food biotech, it helps to look at the numbers. There are thousands of studies on biotech crops published, billions of pounds of biotech foods eaten, and there are zero illnesses (human or animal) resulting of consuming biotech foods. But if one thing is true about science-minded people like me, it’s that we always want more proof. It’s not enough just to say that the safety of biotech foods is proven through extensive scientific research, we want the evidence. All of it. Together. To get started, we’ve assembled some of the “greatest hits” of biotech research and safety.

With the impending change in mind, the IFIC Foundation decided to check in with consumers to understand how some of these proposed NFP changes would be interpreted by consumers. One of the proposed changes is an extra line titled “Added Sugars.” This line would be placed below the current “Sugars” line on NFP. IFIC Foundation recently conducted consumer research assessing how a new "Added Sugars" line in the NFP would be interpreted and what effect this interpretation might have on product perception or purchasing intent. The research findings have been published as an Article in Press by the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

While Medicaid recipients express similar desires for their health as non-recipients, they are having a more difficult time achieving those outcomes, reporting far higher food insecurity, more health problems and greater stress about their food decisions than the general population. For the first time in the 13-year history of the International Food Information Council (IFIC) Foundation’s Food and Health Survey, an oversample of Medicaid beneficiaries was conducted in partnership with The Root Cause Coalition to explore the unique health and nutrition issues facing over 66 million Americans covered by the program.
