Measures of Central Tendency: Mean, Median and Mode
Learning to navigate the course
1. Learning to navigate the course
Click around on everything in the course. See what
it does. Check out all the items on the main menu:
• The syllabus. Read it thoroughly. There's a link
to print it in its entirety if you want a hard copy of
it.
• The schedule. This tells you what is due, and
when. The schedule is also available on the
course calendar.
2. • Faculty. This is where you can find all of my
contact information and a brief bio.
• Assignments. This is where all of your
assignments will be.
• Speeches. This is where you will upload your
speech videos.
• Discussion board. This is where you will post
discussions and replies.
3. • Resources. There will be lots and lots of
information here, especially when we get to the
unit on speech. This is where you'll find anything
that I would normally hand out in class. This is
also where you'll find links to all kinds of things
related to the class.
• Drop box. This is where you'll submit most
assignments. Some assignments will be emailed, but we'll get to that when the time
comes.
4. • Tools. This is where you'll find all kinds of useful
things, including an e-mail system, and alternate
access to many course functions.
• Grades. This is where you can check your grade
and track your progress in the course.
When you have completed this
assignment, please continue to the next
orientation assignment.
