The Tempest is a play written by William Shakespeare. It tells the story of Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, who is stranded on an island with his daughter Miranda after being usurped by his brother Antonio. Prospero uses his magic powers to conjure a storm that shipwrecks his enemies on the island so he can get his revenge and regain his title.
