2. Who would be the audience for your media product?
3. The audience I am expecting to read my magazine will be of a male audience. As my magazine is of an Indie genre this appeals more to a male audience therefore I would expect more males to read my magazine. Inside my magazine it will contain pages which will attract male audiences around the ages of 14-29 year olds. As it will be containing news on gigs and festivals and latest album releases on the Indie genre I believe many males of this age will be interested in this. My magazine would need to be advertised online; firstly because I believe my audience surf the internet and secondly to let young people know about it and promote sales as we live in a world that is now focused around technology.
4. According to ‘Find Your Tride’ my audience have a tendency not worry about the cost or the consequences that is why my price is at £3.49
5. A typical guy will have Radio 1 tuned on at home or while doing his coursework or in the car. He will have Shazam (an app on the iPhone which identifies the name of a record) ready to find new uncommercial, less established Indie bands ready to put on his iPod. He won’t go straight away to his friends to show off latest records, but instead keep it to himself and enjoy the tunes. He will enjoy the Indie music which relates to the emotions of his life.
6. He will save up money to go to festivals in the summer such as Reading Festival which features many Indie bands. This has more priority than buying the latest expensive clothes, instead he will buy well priced smart/ casual clothes in less popular shops such as Burton. They will dress ‘cool’ and unique from others still caring about what he looks like.
