Savvy but amoral, more focused on  Money & Success  than on art.  Unlike their parents who challenged leaders with an intent to replace them,  Generation X tend to ignore leaders. Diverse in aspects of society such as "race, class, religion, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.  Strong   Individualism. Big portion of  digital immigrants  -  individuals who was born before the existence of digital technology and adopted it to some extent later. The Rebels
Generation Next /  Eco Boomers The Digital Age /Digital Native  Characteristics of the generation vary by region, depending on social and economic conditions. Email, sms &  social sharing  ( belonging to a tribe). Service levels NB.,  awareness of health & environment.  Family Values & cocooning is NB. 1994:  SA 1 st  universal elections (end of apartheid) 75,000,000 millennials are preparing to join the workforce.  Prepare your workplace now.
Management Style Tips:  1)  Listen  to the millennial employee.  They have ideas and opinions, get to know them. 2)  Up for a  challenge and change .  Boring is bad. Winning Teams not just Individuals. 3)  Multi-taskers on a scale you’ve never seen before.  Multiple tasks don’t phase them – but with deadlines 4)  Take advantage of your millennial employee’s computer, cell phone, and electronic literacy. 5)  Capitalize on the millennial’s affinity for  networking .  Web job boards, interactive status reporting,  6)  Provide a life-work balanced workplace.   7)  Provide a fun, employee-centered workplace. 8) Provide structure.   &  due dates
9)  Provide leadership, mentoring, guidance .   10)  Encourage the millennial's self-assuredness,  "can-do" attitude , and positive personal self-image.  11)  Take advantage of the millennial's comfort level with teams .  Encourage them to join.  US as a team!   No more – race / class / age
Generation I (Internet Generation), Digital Native  born completely  within technology They are highly connected , many having had lifelong use of technologies - www, instant messaging, mp3, mobile phones, you tube.  Internet is now increasingly carried in their pockets Described as impatient and instant minded, and tending to lack the ambition of previous generations.   Superficial Extraverts -  Socialising does not consist of going out to a movie Attention span is much lower .. … watevr LOL…
