Join Magento and Shopgate as we discuss how City Gear went from a small retailer in Memphis to recently acquired by publicly traded Hibbett Sports with Chris Brigham, the Director of Omnichannel at City Gear. City Gear is a prolific urban footwear and apparel retailer, known for high-profile shoe releases from brands like Nike, Air Jordan, and Adidas. With over 130 brick-and-mortar stores in the U.S. and has endorsement deals with multiple professional sports teams, the past 40 years has been an evolution from brick and mortar to an unified digital commerce approach. The omnichannel urban footwear and apparel retailer, launched its ecommerce presence in 2014 on Magento, and further extended their brand in 2016 with a mobile app from Shopgate. Not sure how to move into omnichannel commerce? This webinar will cover the challenges and successes City Gear experienced bridging the gap between online and offline commerce.

Soundbite: “Retailers and marketers know what channels are. The terms “multichannel” and “omnichannel” have been around for years. And yet most retailers still aren’t getting it right.”
Soundbite: “Consumer demand for flexibility and choice is driving the pace of technology innovation in commerce, both online and off”
Soundbite: “Consumer expectations in 2019 are greater than ever before”
Create a Seamless Shopping Experience
Make it quick, simple and convenient
Deliver on Customer Centricity
Soundbite: 5 Characteristics
1. Its Portable - Wherever your customers go, your brand should be accessible. And that means a mobile app that’s inextricably connected to your in-store experience. Your app should let customers know about deals in their local store.
2. Its Relevant - Your customer experience should be relevant to each customer’s needs, preferences, and location. They should receive product information that looks great, speaks their language, and tells them everything they need to know.
3. It’s Personalized - Whether they’re on their phone, on their computer, or in your store, customers want to get personal.
4. It’s Transparent - Consumers want to know where their orders are at all times. And they want access to their whole history with your brand, whether they bought online or in the store. Ideally, they’d like to do this with a mobile app and by logging onto your desktop website.
5. It’s Flexible and Responsive - Consumers want an experience that’s both flexible and responsive. No matter where they shop, customers can choose between many options for payment, shipping, and delivery. And, when things go wrong, they want brands to act quickly and provide frequent updates until the problem is resolved.

Soundbite:
“The channel-less experience is all about building connections.”
“Create seamless customer experiences with omnichannel marketing.”
Your audiences aren’t confined to a single brand experience. They’re interacting with your brand in an ever-changing way. They meet you at all hours, in all places, with all their unique dimensions and traits, across multiple channels. This leaves marketers with the challenge of maintaining a consistent experience. Omnichannel marketing allows you to meet that challenge.
Omnichannel marketing is about creating a mutually rewarding, connected experience across online and offline channels, rather than focusing on content and messaging for each individual channel.
Audiences move from the desktop to the smartphone to the TV to the store when they engage with your brand. Omnichannel marketing replaces a fragmented, multichannel approach with consistency, ease of access, and a better customer experience . However, an omnichannel approach means you’ve got to be agile and informed. And you need to break down the channel silos that hinder a truly seamless experience.
