Plastic waste
Loss of biodiversity
3. Forest and agricultural land degradation
Problems :-
Land degradation Causes:-
1. Agricultural land use
2. Farming
3. Grazing
4. Forestry
5. Urbanisation
6. Industrial land use
Impact:-
Loss of soil quality(organic matter, acidification)
Loss of biodiversity
Loss of ecosystem services
4. Forest and agricultural land degradation
Solutions :-
1. Restoration of degrade land :-
Consideration of local communities and indigenous welfare.
Use od traditional knowledge.
Cultural and Social values.
Informed land management.
Economic incentives and compensation.
2. Sustainable land use :-
Sustainable resources use.
Ongoing management use.
Benefit Sharing.
5. Electronic waste
Electronic waste or e waste has been defined as one of the serious issues which is going to
deal a attention of people across the world. However, in recent years, it has become a
major problem in developing countries and requires best strategy to minimize the risks
associated with it.
E-wastes are all electronics that are outdated or damaged. It includes all kind of electronics
such as laptops, computers, desktops, networking equipment, cellphones and other
networking devices.
Approximated 50 million tone of e-waste will be generated in 2019. Now e-waste is one of
the fastest growing pollution and became a major problem. So we need to be responsibly
disposed of and recycled. These are some simple solutions to reduce e-waste.
6. AIR POLLUCTION
The air over large is contaminated with harmful gases like Sulphur
dioxide, nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, smoke and dust etc. The
contamination of air with harmful gases , smoke and dust is called air
pollution.
The substance whose presence in the air makes it impure or
contaminated is called an Air Pollutant.
The major pollutants which causes air pollution are Sulphur dioxide,
Nitrogen oxides, Carbon monoxides, excess of Carbon dioxide,
Chlorofluorocarbons and suspended particles.
7. Plastic Waste is a Global Problem.
Global plastic production reaches 300 million tons annually.
Annually approximately 500 billion plastic bags are used worldwide.
More than one million bags are used every year.
Over the last 10 years we have produced more plastic than during the
whole of the last century.
Packaging is the largest and use market segment accounting for just
over 40% of total plastic usage.

9. Loss Of Biodiversity
• The main cause of the loss of biodiversity
can be attributed to the influence of human
beings on the world’s ecosystem.
• Escalating human population is a major
cause of biodiversity loss.
• Most of the biodiversity loss has happened
post Industrial Revolution through human
activities.
