2. Covenant with David
PROMISE OF KINGSHIP

3. Isaiah 9:6-9 (NIV)
6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and
the government will be on His shoulders. And He will
be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase
of His government and peace there will be no end.
He will reign on David's throne and over his
kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice
and righteousness from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. 8
The Lord has sent a message against Jacob; it will
fall on Israel. 9 All the people will know it - Ephraim
and the inhabitants of Samaria - who say with pride
and arrogance of heart..

5 For to which of the angels did God ever say,
"You are my Son; today I have become your
Father? Or again, "I will be his Father, and he
will be my Son"?
