manipulated to provide a result needed by a manufacturer to meet a
target.
Nitric Oxide (NOx) reading cannot be tested in a standard MOT Test
because (a) the Test only covers 4 Gases (CO2 – CO – O2-HC &
Lambda) Also because to test NOx the vehicle needs to be under load
The only true test is to test the emissions of a vehicle when in normal
Road going use or on a Rolling Road
Single Axle Rolling Road Testing is OK for Older vehicles but all
modern vehicle detect if one wheel or is not rotating at the same
speed as the others and shuts down the ECU controlling the engine
management system.
