2. Deployment and System Requirements
QuickStack supports all OpenStack Icehouse / Juno released components, ensuring service providers and
enterprises have best-in-class capabilities to deploy an open source cloud. Components include:
• Administration server (MAAS) sets up the cloud, con gures and provisions the Ubuntu OpenStack,
Controller, Compute-Storage nodes.
• Controller node provides the self-service, image repository and management capabilities.
• Network node provides the networking capabilities, which can be also deployed into Controller nodes.
• Compute-Storage node hosts KVM or Xen VMs for workloads running in the cloud, and hosts block or
