Memlinq is building a Collective Memory Network - an online platform that functions as a social medium and allows any user to participate and collaborate. The platform offers access to open data around the world and lets users establish connections between people and 'things' - including themselves. Users can be citizens, professionals, and organisations.
This base presentation briefly explains Memlinq and the opportunity it represents to investors. It is part of an information round in preparation of Memlinq's first equity crowdfunding round. Memlinq will incorporate as a BV in Amsterdam.

What can investors/participants expect?
We’re setting up an Amsterdam-based global organisation that guides, develops, maintains and operates Memlinq – the first universal Collective Memory Network. Memlinq is a social, online platform in which citizens, professionals and organisations can freely and openly participate. They have access to trillions of data and objects from heritage institutions and research. Memlinq users will discover and explore an infinite web of relationships with people and things in the past and the present. Exploiting heritage, history and genealogy, users will connect people to objects, locations, social structures and historical events. Memlinq is connecting everyone and everything – for collective knowledge, learing, and fun. It furthers our connectedness through culture, citizenship and everything that surrounds us.
Operating in stealth mode since early 2015, Memlinq has defined the ambitions of its project and has outlined its technical platform. Memlinq will now incorporate and has a stated preference for citizen participation and financing.
In a first crowdfunding round, covering incorporation and early deliverables for a period of six months, Memlinq invites citizens to invest €50,000 for 10% of its ownership.
This presentation and its associated summaries are the basis of an information round prior to the start of the crowdfunding round.
Online access to digitized heritage
Users gain free access to trillions of data and objects which are curated by galleries, libraries, archives and museums (GLAMs) worldwide)
Networking of data and objects
Users exploit open information and personal insights to establish the relationships between data and objects
Personal relationship paths
Users reconstruct family history combining their own data with formal record – and connect personally into the memory network
Advanced tools for research and story-telling
Users benefit from advanced technologies and functionality for information discovery, analysis, publishing and sharing
Social media and collaboration
Open, free online platform that works as a social medium – with a difference...
Meaningful connections. Memlinq goes beyond ‘friends’ and ‘business’ and allows people to connect with others through family, social structures, heritage and history
Turning social passions into action. Memlinq allows groups to actively work with the objects of their passion (film, fashion, art, history, sports…). Connect them, document them…
To that purpose, the Memlinq platform provides…
Access to, and use of trillions of free, shared, primary data
Tools for information discovery, analysis, publishing and sharing
Collaboration tools for participation and direct involvement between citizens and organisations.
