  3. 3. ILLINOIS STATE UNIVERSITY ISU is a four year public institution serving over 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
  4. 4. ISU & ORACLE ISU is currently on Campus Solutions 9.0 and PeopleTools version 8.53.24. Services are hosted by Oracle Cloud.
  5. 5. MASS PACKAGING/AUTOMATIO N WITH EQUATIONS OVERVIEW 1. Keeping your house in order: Complete verification, checklists, communications, and any other preparations. 2. Prioritize packaging plans; determine eligible students and assign packaging plan order. 3. Create and assign equations to specific awards within packaging plans. 4. Build dynamic equations to provide you an easy transition from year to year.
  6. 6. KEEPING YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER Complete verification, checklists, communications, and any other preparations.
  7. 7. PREPARING FOR PACKAGING 1. Use 3 C’s to communicate with students and assign appropriate checklists 2. Use CS work queues to identify and review students 3. Complete verification for students who are selected and have provided documentation 4. Clear database mismatches
  8. 8. WORK QUEUE
  9. 9. PRIORITIZE PACKAGING PLANS Determine eligible students and assign packaging plan order.
  10. 10. PACKAGING PLAN ORDER Identify students for consideration. Pop Select Determine order in which the system will consider all configured packaging plans. Processing Order Field Use of equations in the Selection Criteria field allow a school to determine eligible students for each packaging plan.
  11. 11. SELECTION CRITERIA EQUATIONS FA Term Info  Career  FA Load SAP Term Table Non-eligible academic plans
  12. 12. Using existing structure to establish processing rules
  13. 13. CREATE AND ASSIGN EQUATIONS TO SPECIFIC AWARDS WITHIN PACKAGING PLANS. • Award selection criteria equations • Minimum/Maximu m award amount equations
  14. 14. PACKAGING PLAN AWARD EQUATION FLOW Provide to equation from calling program  Institution  Aid Year  Emplid
  15. 15. DETAILED EQUATION FLOW The following illustrates how to go about obtaining setup information and student information to determine eligibility for all awards. Institution Aid Year Emplid Aid Year Results Term Values: Fall, Spring or Summer Student FA Term Year/Term Information Fall Info Spring Info Summer Info Award Information Does it exist? Was it declined? Amount Eligibility Regulations Requirements Limits Fed Info State Info Institution
  16. 16. BUILD DYNAMIC EQUATIONS TO PROVIDE YOU AN EASY TRANSITION FROM YEAR TO YEAR. Keeping it vanilla; how to use packaging variables and other set up tables to your benefit.
  17. 17. USE OF PACKAGING VARIABLES Packaging Variables Ability to override dynamic logic in equations •Restricting Aid •Determining an amount of award •Blocking the logic completely
  18. 18. RESTRICTED AID TABLES Creative use of restricted aid tables Allows flexibility per term Use application deadline for date reference Use of tables in equations to determine award amounts
