GlobalTech.City is founded in 2017 and is the global platform connecting AmsterdamTech.City and the other tech cities around the world.
VISION & MISSION
The vision of AmsterdamTech.City is to combine city events, tech topics, societal challenges, tech solutions, and speakers for the city, communities, and citizens of Amsterdam. The mission of AmsterdamTech.City is to facilitate the city, communities, and citizens in the engagement and transformation.
COMMUNITY
The target groups are public and private; governmental and non-governmental; educational institutions, teachers and students; corporates, scale ups and start ups; investors and programs, inventors and experts; visitors and citizens. The speakers are presenting challenges and solutions. They are government officials, civil servants, citizens, visitors, students, teachers, experts, inventors, investors, start ups, scale ups, corporates.
TECHNOLOGY
The latest technology trends are the topics of the events and solutions. In 2016 the tech trends were Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and Big Data. In 2017 more tech trends will follow. The events are called “Tech & The city” where tech is replaced by the tech topic. The challenges are city or civic problems and issues. Examples are Education, Health, Mobility / Transportation, Connectivity, Sustainability, and many more. The solutions are tech solutions for the city or civic problems and issues. The tech solutions are based on the latest tech trends.

4. As technology developers we have been preparing this wave of digital
motion technology over the past 15 years. We have been working at
industry leading motion sensing and motion capture providers,
facilitating sensors’ integration in a wide range of professionals (e.g. full
body systems) and consumers products (e.g. wearables).
- We just crossed point 1) and we started working on 2)

6. WHERE DOES DIGITAL MOTION TECHNOLOGY STAND ?
Comprehensive and accurate motion capture technologies are now
becoming accessible as new powerful tools are being pushed into
the market by technology leaders like Microsoft, Google, Facebook
and Apple.
Like books, photos and music before, human motions will also be
digitized on a massive scale and widely used, edited, viewed and
shared.
7. HOW IS THIS DATA ACCESSED ?
The hypergrowth of digital media as well as new VR/AR and
Machine Learning technologies are now providing
unparalleled opportunities in terms of accessibility and data
insights
Today, 3D human movement data cannot easily be accessed
and analyzed or be used and shared in meaningful ways.
HOWEVER
8. OUR GOALS
- Provide a dramatically simplified user experience to search, store, edit
and share 3D human motion data on digital and mobile media, including
in VR/AR.
- Build a scalable solution for 3D motion processing and analysis
algorithms on top of modern Machine Learning and AI technologies to
make human motion data meaningful, rich, predictive, informative and
entertaining.
- Sustain innovation and accessibility over digital motion data
9. WHAT IS TODAY’S TARGET AUDIENCE ?
As technology matures, we will be focusing on facilitating the
technology providers’ integration and working with existing
digital motion professionals:
- Sport scientists, biomechanics, gait analysis and
rehabilitation labs.
- Motion based content creators for entertainment
10. WHY DOES THIS MATTER ?
- An accessible, large amount of human digital motion data
will change how we play, work, learn and stay healthy.
- Applications will be found anywhere human motion and
movement performance play a central role
- After Mobile first and AI first, it must be Human first
11. HOW FAR DID WE GET ?
- We collected an initial library of over 3000 full body movements from
available motion databases
- We built an highly portable technology demonstrator to store and
ubiquitously access, explore and share data across platforms and widely
used digital media, in VR as well
- We are focusing on early development, our platform is currently
invitation only but we are happy to hear your feedback, so just get in
touch with us to discuss, hear and see more
