This start-up provides smart meters
that helps kitchens cut food waste in
half by automatically measuring
what's put in the bin.

8. ENCASHEA | IND
This India-based startup collects scrap waste for
cash in select areas of the Bengaluru (a city in
Southern India), and lists prices for scrap on its
website. Encashea also has an Android app on
Google Play.

9. eFISHERY | ID
This smart fish feeder manufacturer based
in Bandung, in Indonesia, is an Internet of
Things (IoT) startup for fish and shrimp
farming. It is tackling the largest
challenges in commercial aquaculture -
fish food which often goes to waste.

HOW TO INTEGRATE IMPACT
Developing pilot programmes to tackle post-consumption waste in India
In April 2016 the Indian government launched its
draft guidelines for consumer goods companies to
tackle the issue of post-consumption waste.
In June 2016 Gone Adventurin’ led the senior
leadership of a multinational consumer goods
company on a 4-day IMPACT ADVENTURE to
understand the on-ground realities of this critical
business issue in India.
They met with dozens of people across the waste
value chain - from local waste pickers to recycling
businesses, inspiring startups and social enterprises,
and got a thorough understanding of the waste
landscape and the post-consumption waste journey
of their products.
