We will take several safety precautions for our film shoot. Actors will be directed to ensure no one is harmed from Tic-Tacs or physical altercations. Equipment will be monitored to prevent theft or damage, and organized neatly to avoid injuries. Local residents will be informed of any gun props to avoid police calls. Filming on roads will be brief with lookouts, and we will film only during free periods to avoid classroom disruptions.
1. Risk Assessment
People choking on the Tic-tac’s – We will ensure that the actors know exactly what they’re
doing before-hand, and there will be plenty of people present to resolve this issue if it does
occur.
Equipment getting stolen or damaged - We will have people operating the equipment who
know exactly what to do with it, most likely me and angus, and will always have someone
keeping an eye on it to ensure there's no damage or theft. We will also keep everything
neatly organised so that nothing gets damaged.
Actors tripping over equipment and getting injured - As addressed with the damage to
equipment risk, we will ensure everything is neatly organised so that it doesn't get in the
way of the actors and the actors will not be needing to go anywhere other than in front of
the camera, therefore eliminating that threat.
Mugger causing actual physical harm to the actor - In order to overcome this, we will direct
the actor playing the mugger by telling him exactly what to do in order to not cause any
physical harm.
People thinking the gun is real and calling the police - When the gun prop is being used, we
will inform any local residents of what's going on to ensure no police are called, and we will
also keep it hidden when it's not being used to avoid any suspicion.
Causing motorised vehicle accidents - To overcome this issue, we will ensure that we are
not set up in the road, and when filming in the road it will only be brief and people will be
keeping lookout for oncoming cars, so the actors and technical operators will remain safe.
Disrupting lessons -We will also ensure we do not disrupt any lessons by filming in the
sixthform area and out the front of school during free periods when no lessons are going on
inside the rooms we use, therefore eliminating the potential risk.
