has a severe negative impact when Google discovers it. Duplicate content is pieces of text of one
sentence or more that are exactly the same as somewhere else on the website or on other websites.

tags can really make a difference to a websites search engine rankings.

should contain the primary keyword or phrase for that page.
H2 should only be used 1-3 times on every page and should contain either the primary keyword,
adjectives of the primary keyword or other relevant keywords for the page.
H3, H4, H5 and H6 have minor significance for SEO and can be used at the designers/programmers
discretion.
9. 5.9 Anchor titles

The robots.txt is a simple text file placed in the root of the website, basically robots.txt tells crawlers

A detailed description as to what robots.txt is and how to use it properly can be found here:
http://www.robotstxt.org/
5.14 WWW / Non-WWW
Google and many other search engines differentiate between subdomains on a website. Subdomains
(XXX.domain.com) are often considered as a domain within the domain. Which means that
domain.com and www.domain.com is treated as 2 different sites especially in regards to inbound links.
To avoid lossing value of inbound links to a website, a 301 redirect should be placed from the www
(http://www.domain.com/) version to the non-www (http://domain.com/) version or vice versa if
preferred.
5.15 Keyword relevancy
To ensure that search engines find keywords or keyphrases relevant for your website keywords must
be listed in site content at least 2 times.
Although Mapto Media link building can get keywords that are not listed on the website to the top of
search results, these rankings are not permanent and will quickly disappear from search results once
the link building stops.
Therefore it is important that all keywords is listed on the website at least 2 times so search engines will
associate the specific keyword / phrase with the website and make the results more permanent even
after link building has stopped.
Keyword relevancy can be increased by any of the following:
1. Write the keywords in to the existing text content, the approach requires the least amount of work.
2. Make new pages for the keywords, also known as landingspages, this approach is very efficient but
also requires the most work.
3. Both of the above combined, this will create the best value in regards to SEO.
