Integrated Tridharma Implementation to Build Benefit Sustainability in Renewable Energy Development

  • 1. INTEGRATED TRIDHARMA IMPLEMENTATION TO BUILD BENEFIT SUSTAINABILITY IN RENEWABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT Dr. Rachmawan Budiarto Universitas Gadjah Mada – Indonesia RCE Yogyakarta
  • 2. three main tasks of Indonesian higher education institution, known as Tridharma: teaching, research & community service the three main tasks are carried out in integrative systemic approach to achieve benefit sustainability of any program community service research teaching
  • 3. complex problem to be solved comprehensive synergy to solve complex problem
  • 4. selected project: integrated approach in multiyears project by Universitas Gadjah Mada (centre for energy studies + centre for economic democracy studies + engineering physics – fac. of engineering + directorate of community services), CCES (NGO) and Lakpesdam Nahdatul Ulama
  • 5. Developed by GIZ maintenance and analysis cooperation with Centre for Energy Studies UGM (2013 - 2015) CP: Rachmawan Budiarto Coverage in 2014: 530 sites in 121 Kabupaten of microhydro (0.45 – 400 kW) and centralized photovoltaics system (15 – 150 kWp)

KEMALA Consortium Increasing of Poor Household Income Through Green Business Practices Supported by Renewable Energy •3 villages in remote areas in 2 provinces (Jambi and West Sumatera) •Installation of total 73.3 kWp Photovoltaics in 307 sites: houses, public facilities, small medium enterprises and solar water pumps. •Support Development of Local Agricultural SME •Comprehensive Approach •July 2016 – Feb 2018 •Total grant: USD 1.28 millions
