Who is it going to be? Clinton or Trump?
Written by: Hannah Young
It has been a crazy election year to say the least, but no matter what, this
election will be historic. Both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton come
from two entirely different spectrums of their respective political parties,
and there is hardly anything they can agree on. The Democratic Party is
with Hillary, but the Republican Party is having a bit of trouble getting on
board with Trump. In a few short days, a new president will be elected
and no matter how Americans feel about one or both of them, they will be
deciding our fate as a country.
In my opinion, this election has been a complete circus. On one side, we
have Hillary’s email scandal, and accusations of her team hiring people to
begin riots at Trump rallies. Then we have Mr. Trump who has openly
disrespected women/disabled individuals/immigrants, and has yet to
release his tax returns to prove himself. Now I will be honest, this is the
first election I am considering not voting for President due to the issues
that both candidates have done wrong and I feel neither of them deserve
the right to be in charge of our great country. I was a Bernie supporter
from the beginning and the thought still crosses my mind with the what
ifs.
America is the greatest country in the world and with that being said, we
have a choice. To vote or not. That is the beauty of the U.S.A. Sadly, we
sometimes forget that Election Day is about more than just the President.
Candidates for local candidates, supreme court justices, senate members,
representatives, and positions at the county level also will be elected. Even
if you are on the fence like me when it comes to a president, we should get
out there and vote because we do have a voice and our vote does count.
Election day is November 8th. For voting locations and additional

Anita M. Davis
Winter 2017 Graduate
Associate of Applied Business in Administrative Assisting
with a Major in Medical Coding and Billing
How has your experience been since you started here at TBC?:
“My four years at TBC have been good, and challenging, all at the
same time. I have enjoyed the experience, but I am very tired and
ready to graduate. This is a major accomplishment for me! My
family and friends have been supportive and they all are very
happy and proud. I am so incredibly anxious to walk across that
stage and so thankful and grateful to God for giving me strength
to get through these four years.”
What are your future plans after you graduate?
“To work as an Administrative Assistant or medical secretary in a
hospital, clinic, or doctor’s office. I also wouldn’t mind teaching
Medical Terminology or Anatomy at TBC to give back training
and education to future students. I find it a tremendous blessing
to help others succeed.
Ms. Davis recently published a book of poetry My Love Letters to
God which can be purchased for $10, or borrowed from TBC’s
Library.
Faculty Spotlight
Interviewed by: Hannah Young
DeShawn Scott grew up in Warren, OH and St. Louis, MO. He
came back to Warren in 1989, and since that time has evolved
into a nationally recognized artist, photographer/artist, the
founder president of two successful businesses and most
importantly, a loving parent and husband.
Mr. Scott’s educational background started with obtaining his
G.E.D. in 1998, an Associate Degree in Business Management at
Trumbull Business College in 2000, and fulfilling his goal of
obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from Hiram College. He
took the LSAT and was accepted into Law School, but later
declined to attend because he felt it would be too much of a
burden on his family.
Between the time it takes to lead the D5 Group and instructing
at TBC, DeShawn continues to sharpen his education in the
areas of digital marketing, and audience/brand development. He
also serves on the Board of Directors at the Trumbull Art
Gallery.

“My name is Justin Cornelius, and I am a resident of McDonald,
OH. I am a graduate of Ashford University where I received my
degree in History and Social Science. I am a member of the Gold-
en Key International Honor Society as well as the Alpha Sigma
Lambda National Honor Society. I am also a High School Defen-
sive Coach for Champion High School. Football has been a pas-
sion for me since I was a little boy. I have played the sport my en-
tire younger years and have coached ever since. I am married to
my wife Jessica whom I met in that little town of McDonald. She
is the Clinical Manager for Premium Pediatrics where she gets to
live her passion of caring for all the children she possibly can! We
have two children ourselves: daughter Natalie, 13 is quite simply
brighter than her parents as she has been a straight A student
since birth! Our son Andrew is 11 and is an all-around athlete; as
in we never stop all year long with his sports. From baseball, to
football, to basketball, to track; the games never end for us! I would
like to thank all at TBC for allowing me to be a part of this family.”

Cocoa Krispies Turkey Drumsticks
Recipe
by: Cheyenne Lengel
6 pretzel rods
Almond bark
Mini marshmallows
2 Tbsp. butter
6 cups of Cocoa Krispies or Cocoa Pebbles cereal
First, break the pretzel rods in half. Dip each one in melted
almond bark and stick two mini marshmallows on the end of each
one. Lay on wax paper. I dipped mine twice, and make sure that
the excess almond bark was all off when I set them on the wax
paper for a second time.
Next, melt the butter and remaining marshmallows over the
stove on low to medium. Melt remaining mini marshmallows in
the butter. Remove from heat, and add Cocoa Krispies.
Butter hands. Once Cocoa Krispies mixture has cooled enough to
handle, shape it around the end of the pretzel rod, forming your
drumstick. Place on wax paper to cool.
