What kind of Media Institution might distribute your media product and Why?
A large German publishing company based in Hamburg, which operates in 15 countries worldwide.
Worldwide circulation of Bauer Media Group's magazine titles amounts to 38 million magazines a week.
“Q” and “Kerrang!” magazines are already published by ‘Bauer Media Group’, therefore this would provide my magazine with a large, recognisable market, however, with similar magazines such as “Q” and “Kerrang!”, this generates a huge competition as them magazines have a well-known established target audience, as opposed to “Live!” magazine.
Bauer Media Group...
I believe that “MAMA Group Limited” could be an ideal company to distribute my media product.
This media company is owned by the “HMV Group”, operating venues such as the “HMV Forum” in Kentish Town.
Considered one of the UK’s leading independent music businesses, publishing “The Fly” music magazine.
MAMA Group
MAMA Group
As well as being a distributing company, “MAMA Group”, the company has interests in marketing, which will benefit my product increasing the readership and demographic audience.
“The Fly” is a small music magazine, similar to “Live!” which is why I believe that “MAMA Group” is an ideal institution to publish and distribute the product.
Venues such as Relentless Garage in Camden are owned by the “HMV Group” which often would contain the demographic audience of the music magazine.
