Arterial supply:
It is by the branches of abdominal aorta.
Abdominal aorta:
Your aorta is the large artery at the end of your heart's aortic valve. It carries
oxygen-rich blood away from your heart to the rest of your body. It travels through your
chest, where it's called the thoracic aorta, and into your abdomen, where it's called the
abdominal aorta.

Coeliac Trunk:
Origin Abdominal aorta at the level of the 12th thoracic
vertebra
Branches Left gastric, common Hepatic and Splenic arteries
Supplies Foregut of the gastrointestinal tract

Left Gastric Artery:
The left gastric artery gives off esophageal branches
and supplies the upper right portions of the fundus
and body of the stomach, as well as the distal
esophagus
Splenic artery: Branches
The splenic artery is one of the three branches of the
celiac trunk, which supplies the spleen as well
as large parts of the stomach and pancreas.

Common Hepatic Artery:
Supplies blood to the liver, pylorus of the
stomach ,duodenum, pancreas, and
gallbladder.

Gastroduodenal artery:
Pylorus of the stomach, superior part of the duodenum, the head of the pancreas.
Proper Hepatic Artery:
Left and right lobes of the liver, the gallbladder and part of the stomach.

supplies blood to the duodenum and pancreas.

The superior mesenteric artery has several branches that send blood to various parts of the
GI tract. The branches include the:
Inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery:
Head of the pancreas and the duodenum.
Middle colic artery:
Transverse colon, the longest part of the large intestine.
Right colic artery:
Beginning part of the colon that travels up the right side of the stomach.
Jejunal and ileal arteries:
Jejunum and part of ileum
Ileocolic artery:
Appendix, part of the ileum and cecum
