1. Senior lab chemist (Shift Supervisor) in Ethylene, Utility and Environmental Laboratory and
research department. July 2008 – June 2013
Duties:
Supervises all activities within the shift, lead and direct the shift team (2 chemists and 4 technician)
Communicate withthe customers (Operations, Mechanical and Analyzer team) to give complete support
with safe matter.
Increase the reputation of the lab by ensuring reporting correct results and perfect support to our
customers..
Attend the meeting for solving problems, test runs, shutdown, etc…. with Ops and Analyzer team.
Authorize the test results and be sure reporting in the correct way and adjust the schedule of analysis as
per the request from Operations.
Trouble shoot solver to lab problems or equipments.
Quality:
Following all the instructions complied with ISO 17025.
Participate as ISO-17025 team member in accreditation lab by UKAS on the following methods:
- LPG analysis by ASTMD2163
- Sulpher analysis in gas by ASTMD5504.
- pH (ASTMD1293)
- COD (ASTM D1252)
- Conductivity (ASTMD1125)
- Anion analysis by ion chromatography (ASTMD4327) for (Chloride, Phosphate, and Sulphate)
Ensure following the quality procedure within the shift/lab.
Audited by the UKAS during the yearly check.
Check periodically the methods by the sample/standard QC and ensure high quality analysis.
Doing internal audit and raise any non conformity if found.
Put preventive action and corrective action to any non conformity.
Write quality procedures, if required update existing due to Auditor or Lab quality manager review.
Follow the maintenance plan and the calibration plan to all equipments according to ISO-17025.
Always receive satisfactory results in the proficiency testing program.
Run the validation program to the methods according to the plan.
Safety:
Ensure following the safety precautions and standards within the shift/lab.
Ensure safety in sampling to all kind of samples.
File and read the MSDS for any new chemicals to ensure the best way of handling.
Do the risk assessments to the test methods and put all barriers required to ensure safe work place..
Do the monthly safety audit with the HSSE team.
