Bio heidi reformer training

  1. 1. Hello, my name is Heidi Tritt and I am new to the Quinte West area. I have gained a great deal of experience over the past 30 years working in the Health and Fitness field. My experience includes; Personal Training, working as a Registered Practical Nurse, a Rehab Personal Trainer and Physiotherapy Assistant. My new passion is Pilates and Pilates Reformer Rehab as a very valuable tool to help clients re- establish their physical health and wellness. I have been part of a team that worked with clients who have had orthopaedic injuries, pelvic issues, cancer, recovering from motor vehicle accidents and a wide range of other ailments. My clients rehab programs have been based on both land and in water providing a wider range of available programs designed to meet the clients specific requirements. Pilates and the Pilates Reformer adds even more options emphasizing the basic mechanics of the spine, pelvic and shoulder girdles. The execution of movement on the reformer is very detailed and encourages clients to build body awareness to balance chronically weak and imbalanced muscles and become equally strong making movement more efficient.
  2. 2. “Keep strong today and avoid injuries tomorrow” This is a great metaphor for people suffering from arthritis, osteoporosis or fibromyalgia. I personally have had health issues including two hip surgeries which includes a hip replacement. I became a strong supporter of the Pilates Reformer during my own recovery and have personally recognized the benefits. While working with the Pilates Reformer, for mobility and strength, I have been able to go back to enjoying activities such as hiking, biking, canoeing and spending quality time with my two grandchildren. As a mother of 3 grown children, which I continue to be involved with, I remain very active teaching fitness in the community, and more recently, with the Pilates Reformer and I am looking forward to building my new life here.
