2. 1 Plan Your Day
Starting your day off without a plan
means you have no idea where you are
going.
Create a game plan at the beginning of
each day. Determine your priorities and
how you will maximize your work hours.
3. 2 Write It Down
Now that you have a plan, write it down.
Create a list, write it in your calendar, or
type it into notes on your phone.
Creating a plan in your head is not
enough. It’s not real until you write it
down.
4. 3 Schedule Email Time
Don’t let email control your life. Schedule
time throughout the day to check your
email.
Try scheduling 3x times a day or even 6x
a day. Once you commit to a schedule
you will create a habit that will limit
distractions, thus making you more
productive.
5. 4 Only Attend Necessary Meetings
Attending more meetings does not make
you more important.
Only attend meeting where you add
value. It’s easy to get caught in 4-5
meetings a day. Work smarter and be
choosy about the meetings you attend.
6. 5 Batch Follow Up Calls
Dedicate an hour for follow up
conversations. Make a list of the people
you need to contact and call them back to
back.
This method will put you in a zone and
typically you will walk away with all your
action items at one time.
7. 6 Set Small Goals
You may not finish every task you set out
to complete but if you break big projects
down, you are one step closer.
Set small attainable goals daily. You will
love the satisfaction of reaching even the
smallest goal.
8. 7 Dedicate Project Time
Big projects may look unconquerable but
if you dedicate time to work on a project
daily, you will be closer to completing it.
Mark off time on your calendar to focus
on your project uninterrupted.
9. 8 Limit Distractions
Close your door, shut down unnecessary
internet windows, and turn off the radio.
Set yourself up for success by creating
an environment where you can get things
done without distractions.
10. 9 Use Your DND
If you are focused and working on a task,
don’t let your concentration get away
from you. Turn on your Do Not Disturb
for your instant message and phone.
Maintaining your increased level of
productivity is valuable. You can follow
up on what you missed once you are
done.
11. 10 Stick to Your Plan
It’s easy to get off track throughout the
day. You made a plan, now you have to
stick to it.
Commit to accomplishing your goals for
the day. When you start to veer away
from your plan, circle back and remember
your priorities.
12. Ready to be More Productive
Now that you have the boosters let’s put
them to action.
