2. Brazil
Largest economy in Latin America and top 7 in the world
Brazil is an active and influential economy in world markets. It is considered a regional power
and is Latin America’s number 1 economy , with almost 50% of South America’s GDP alone.
It is also an active member of the BRICS, a group of important emerging economies, together
with Russia, India, China and South Africa.
Fifth place in the sustainable growth index
Brazil also occupies fifth place on the sustainable growth index, a ranking from the United
Nations which combines the wealth of countries with their use of natural resources. The
index is part of a range of rankings that can more accurately assess wealth generation to
achieve sustainable development.
Free democratic country & Political Stability
Brazil has had a peaceful transition to a politically stable democracy. Today, the country has
successfully solidified its institutions with an effective rule of law that protects its citizens’
civil rights and liberties.
International mobility
Holders of a Brazilian passport are entitled to visit 146+ countries and territories without the
need for a visa.
Foreign Direct Investment incentives
In Brazil, you are allowed to own up to 100% of any land and property you buy, this is one of
several measures adopted to encourage foreign investment in the country. The cost for
acquiring an investor visa is also substantially cheaper if compared to most countries.
Peaceful and diverse country
Brazil is a country with a very diverse society, having received immigrants from all around the
world for centuries. This has resulted in a very tolerant country, respectful of different beliefs
and cultures. On top of that, the countries in the region share a peaceful and stable
community, devoid of any serious conflicts in its recent history.

Sending the investment money to your account in
Brazil
● Now that your Brazilian legal entity and bank
account are in place, we register yourself (the
investor or the principal applicant) and the
newly established legal entity with Brazil’s
Central Bank, then it is time to transfer the
funds -so called initial capital, Foreign Direct
Investment-. We will work with you to transfer
the funds which shall come through a specific
channel of Brazil’s Central bank so called RDE-
IED. we then file all the necessary registrations
with both Exchange & Central Bank.

Residency ID.
● The investment has been wired in and now we
are ready to take the final steps to getting your
investor visa. We will now be able to fill out the
necessary documents to Ministry of Labour,
which after analysing the case will then issue
your investor visa which will be sent to any
Brazilian consulate of your choice -the one on
your city or close by-. You can then pay them a
visit and obtain this visa on your passport, and
on your first visit to Brazil afterward will register
your entry with Federal Police Police
department, and they issue your protocol of
Permanent Residency ID Card (so called RNE-
equivalent to U.S Green Card)
● Time-frame: 4 to 6 weeks from the time you
transfer the funds until the issuance of the
investor visa.

Setting up your legal entity and opening your bank
account
● To be eligible for an investor visa a foreigner
must invest +R$ 150,000 BRL in either an

for you in the shortest amount of time possible.
Once the company has been registered we will
also open a local bank account for your legal
entity.
● Time-frame: less than 1 month if you could visit
Brazil during this phase, and about 2 months if

which serve as a proof of investment. We will assist you in obtaining these
documents.

8. Investment Options:
What can I do with my investment money in Brazil?
You will be free to invest the money required for investor visa in whichever way you want. You can choose
your own investment, but it must be done in the name of your legal entity. Most foreigners, usually those who are
already purchasing real estate, take advantage of it. But you can invest in stocks or fixed income or just keep the money
as cash on savings accounts, where interest rates and dividends are much higher than those applied and seen in other
countries. There are many safe investment options in the country:
Real Estate Investment: There are no major
restrictions for foreigners to buy and sell residential,
commercial, or land property in Brazil. Property prices
have been stable after years of steady increase and for
many foreigners it is a good time to buy due to the real’s
depreciation relative to the American dollar.
Interest-rate Investment: options like the regular
savings account or in Fixed Income account is much
more attractive in Brazil than in many other countries.
As the interest rate in the country has been hovering
around the 14% mark in recent years and is currently at
13.75%.
Finance Business Operations: The process of
attaining the permanent visa already involves creating a
legal entity (a company) in the country. those who get
the visa may also choose to make their legal entities
operational. There are several sectors in Brazil that are
flourishing and are expected to continue growing such
as the agricultural, services and technology sectors
among others.
