IIAR background and purpose • The Institute for Industry Analyst Relations started as a self-organizing community in 2007, then the need for an independent industry body quickly became evident • At its heart: A forum and network for AR practitioners by AR practitioners – vendors, consultants and agencies • Today at critical mass in EMEA, coming close elsewhere • Board of Directors, Secretary, Working Committees, Chapters • Digital presence – site, blog, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn • >100 paying members, bi-monthly forums, certification, education • Open LinkedIn Group • Active blog, including job postings

The IIAR 3R’s • The IIAR 3R’s of Analyst Relations are the three key traits required for the job • Responsiveness –analysts expect AR pros to revert back to them in a timely fashion with the information required for their research • Relationships –analysts have many stakeholders ; someone that’s easy to deal with always goes that bit farther • Results –can AR pros deliver results for their employers? 7
