This document provides information about becoming a certified public accountant (CPA) including the requirements, exam, and career opportunities. It discusses that CPAs have flexibility to manage diverse careers in any field. To become a CPA requires 150 credit hours of education, passing the 4 section uniform CPA exam, and meeting the character and ethics requirements of being professional, ethical, determined, and competent. The exam is transitioning to a computer-based format and includes both US GAAP and IFRS questions. Resources are provided to help students prepare for and pass the exam to obtain the CPA designation.
