MOTIVATION
Motivation is key in the workplace.
You need to be motivated to fulfil your own 
role in order to feel like you’ve achieved 
something worthwhile.
A lack of motivation within your job can lead to 
negative feelings and a lack of desire for your 
job.
A lack of motivation within your job can lead to 
negative feelings and a lack of desire for your 
job. 
Here is a guide on how to stay motivated:
If you’re having a particularly busy day at work, 
you can lose motivation just from the sheer 
amount of work that needs to be done.
In this case, write yourself a ‘to do’ list and 
tackle the smaller projects first.
Give yourself a break in between each project 
to refresh your mind and renew your 
motivation.
Treat yourself.
Plan ahead and tell yourself that you will do 
something nice once you’ve finished a project.
Whether that is going out for lunch or buying 
yourself something new.
Knowing that you can treat yourself once 
you’ve completed a project can be all the 
motivation that you need.
If you’re feeling bored at work or even 
overwhelmed with the amount of work you have 
to do, talk to your boss.
Ask to be given some more responsibilities if 
that’s what you want or ask for help managing 
your work.
It is likely that your boss will be willing to help you 
with your work load, whether that’s giving you 
more or less.
Find a motivational quote and stick it on your 
desk at work.
Read it whenever you need a little boost.

Take this on board and remember when you next 
have a decision to make or a piece of work to 
complete that you are in control of the outcome.
