DRIVEN
Make sure your team never lose sight of their
goals, this will keep them focussed on winning
and being successful.
If a project is broken down into smaller, more
arduous tasks - regularly remind everyone of
the main goals to keep them thinking positively
about the task.

Keeping your team focussed on incentives can
help foster a winning mentality.
If your organisation provides incentives or
bonuses; don’t be afraid bring them up in
meetings to keep it fresh in your team’s minds.

The manager’s attitude is extremely influential
on team members, be a role model.
Show a positive attitude and strong work ethic
in meetings and around your team to show you
are focussed and serious.

Make sure your team’s input and talents are
recognised.
Take time in meetings to acknowledge
contributions from individuals but make sure to
give every equal recognition over time to make
your team feel valued.

IQ Management - Creating A Winning Team Mentality

  • 3. A winning mentality is instrumental in the success or failure of any project or task. A manager can directly create this mentality.
  • 5. 01BE RESULTS DRIVEN Make sure your team never lose sight of their goals, this will keep them focussed on winning and being successful. If a project is broken down into smaller, more arduous tasks - regularly remind everyone of the main goals to keep them thinking positively about the task.
  • 6. 02 Keeping your team focussed on incentives can help foster a winning mentality. If your organisation provides incentives or bonuses; don’t be afraid bring them up in meetings to keep it fresh in your team’s minds. BE GOAL DRIVEN
  • 7. 03 The manager’s attitude is extremely influential on team members, be a role model. Show a positive attitude and strong work ethic in meetings and around your team to show you are focussed and serious. SET AN EXAMPLE
  • 8. 04 Make sure your team’s input and talents are recognised. Take time in meetings to acknowledge contributions from individuals but make sure to give every equal recognition over time to make your team feel valued. ACKNOWLEDGE CONTRIBUTIONS
  • 9. 05 Strive to work with your team and understand the challenges they are facing and whether or not they are succeeding or if they need help. Regularly review your team’s work and provide support and guidance to any issues, this will help prevent problems building up that could affect their attitude. ASSESS AND REVIEW
  • 10. 06 Pick the right activity for your team, it can have great influence on morale and mentality. Asses the individual personalities of your team along with the nature of the projects to find the best activity to motivate everyone for the tasks ahead. CONSIDER TEAM BUILDING EXERCISES
  • 11. 07 Celebrate success as a team. Always make sure that an achievement by the team is celebrated by the whole team, either inside or outside of working hours - make sure their accomplishments do not go unnoticed. CELEBRATE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
