Dear Colleagues,
Embedded systems are becoming more and more the key drivers of product innovation in the
automotive sector. The vehicle electrification-process is particularly remarkable for safety-critical
systems.
This implies that managing the complexity of these systems and their software is of crucial importance to the automotive industry. Ensuring functionality and safety, such as real time
capability and deterministic system behaviour is one example of the particular challenges in this
area. Moreover, avoiding external attacks (security) is a top priority to be highlighted. Finally, managing the increasing complexity of embedded systems while decreasing time to market, integrating
different software applications and off-the-shelf components is resulting in major challenges for
OEMs and Tier1s.
IQPC has understood the importance of brainworking and networking, exchange of positions and
opinions on the topic of embedded systems as an important driver for innovation in the automotive
