The AYUSH Central Library was established to support the
academic and research requirement for students, teachers and
doctors of DEI Faculty of Integrated Medicine, Dayalbagh
Educational Institute (Deemed University), Agra. The 24/7 delivery
and high-quality of services using cutting edge technologies offered
by the AYUSH central library are comparable to modern libraries in
India of International standard. With the future goal to deliver
world class library services to fulfil the present & future needs of
bonafide students and faculties of university on their mobile
devices. The library is well equipped marching towards its goal by
taking some innovative initiatives like providing digital learning
facility with sufficient tablets/computers in the library, library Kiosk
(a self-service tool), Mobile-based library services, wi-fi, Web OPAC
accessibility, e- journals, QR Code enable services, good collection
of reading materials and property counter facility with CCTV
camera surveillance. My role has changed a few times since I
began, from providing research support and supporting collections
to serving as a Faculty Librarian to setup & development of e-
information services, managing library collections and services to
enhancement of learning activities and research outputs in the

Program Format
The University of Southeastern Philippines Learning Resource
Center or ULRC is an academic library located in Iñigo St., Bo
Obrero, Davao City. The university library embraces the concept
of knowledge management. It collects electronic information
sources, and the creation of an integrated library system is
thought to offer library customers convenient and high-quality
services. The ULRC is embracing new forms of communication to
reach out to library users and implementing library trends to
respond to academic demands quickly.
Goals & Objectives
● Develop a quality research-based library collection in
different media formats to support the curriculum, research,
extension and production;
● Market library information and knowledge resources,
facilities and services;
● Deliver innovative services and improved organizational
learning, management, leadership, and people skills;
● Establish linkage and partnership through research activities,
donations, networking, and consortiums;
● Provide conducive and convenient library spaces for
learning.

What We Learned
As participants of the American Library Association
International Relations Round Table’s International
Librarian Networking Program, we communicated
via email, text, Google chats, and WhatsApp. We
had one initial meeting. We talked about LIS
Education, our backgrounds, and the future of
libraries in our country. We also shared articles of
interest.

Participating in this program provided us a
wonderful opportunity with new ways of looking
and learn new skills, innovative library services
and understand the challenges related to LIS
profession at the global level. We have
discoursed on cutting edge technologies to
implementing in libraries to efficient &
effectively delivery of library services in the
collaborative environments over the networks.
Additionally, we have been a new network of
contacts from which we can find support form
each other. In fact, we plan to continue our
communication and produce/publish a high-
quality research outputs with collaborative
efforts. Also, we have plan to conducting a
virtual program in near future for our
students/faculties to enhance the use of library
collections & services through collaborative
engagement.
