• Elcab Conductors was established in Pune in 1994 by Mr. Anil
Jhamtani, an engineer from the coveted College of Engineering,
Pune. As one of the leading engineering corporations, Elcab

3. Copper Braids And Ropes
• Elcab makes a wide variety of
round and flat copper braids in
sizes ranging from 1.5 sq mm to
400 sq mm. We make braids in
various lengths, fitted with various
types of lugs (made in-house or
bought-out).
• These are widely used in various
industries like Railways, Electrical
and Electronic, Automobile,
Chemical and various heavy duty
applications like earthling/
grounding of large turnkey plants.

4. Welding Cables
• Elcab offers Welding Cables in
electrolytic grade 99.97% pure fine
copper wires. Welding Cables
manufactured by us are insulated
with a compound having 40%
rubber and 60% PVC.
• The main advantage of our
Welding Cables is that we use pure
copper and give the proper cross
sectional area. Available in
different sizes, these are also
known for their durable
performance.

5. Solar Cables
• Solar Cable conforms to a number of
standards that further verify its quality
and suitability for the purpose.
• Elcab solar cables are designed for the
harsh environments of solar energy
applications- the hot and cold of climate
extremes, ozone and UV radiation,
moisture, oil and direct burial.
• The cables use a specially formulated
PVC jacket that can withstand the
potential environments without failing
or degrading. Solar Cables are available
in shielded or unshielded form.

6. Auto And Battery Cables
• These cables conform to IS: 694.
These cables undergo stringent
quality checks during manufacturing
process and at the final stage.
• These cables are also used in other
applications where batteries are used,
e.g. telecommunication, power,
computers, etc. where the D.C.
voltage does not exceed 100 volts.
• These cables can be safely operated
under extreme temperatures from -
20°C to 105°C. These cables are long-lasting
and ensure proper
distribution of power in the vehicle.

7. Stranded Conductors
• Elcab manufactures Stranded
Copper Ropes in flexible as well as
rigid construction. The flexible
ropes are usually made in Tinned
Copper Wires wherein the strand
diameter is as fine as 0.12mm.
• These flexible ropes are designated
with their overall diameters
ranging from 3mm to 8mm. These
ropes have very close lay lengths.

8. Tinned Copper Wires
• Elcab manufactures Hot-Dip Tin
Plated (Tinned) Copper Wires from
0.12 mm to 3 mm diameters. These
wires are manufactured from
copper rods procured from
Hindustan Copper Ltd. and Tin
procured from Malaysia and
Belgium.
• Our Tin Plated wires have created a
niche for themselves and are always
in great demand from various
industries. The end products
manufactured from these wires find
their place worldwide.

9. Shielded And Screened Cables
• Elcab provides a wide range of screened
instrumentation cables suitable for process
control and signal transmission. Shielding or
Screening is the most important part of data
instrumentation cables which are provided
with copper drain wire or tinned copper
braids.
• Both the types have got their respective
advantages. Shielding of either of the forms
or even both the forms is provided in extreme
situations depending upon the application.
• When signal speeds are comparatively low a
braid screen is sufficient, but for higher
speeds a foiled screen or composite foil (Al-
Mylar tape) and braid screen is more suitable.

10. Multi-Core Cables
• They are made in accordance with IS:
694 (ISI standard). Being multi-core
cables, these can withstand voltage
between 650V to 1100V and are used
in electric power supply, electrical
equipments etc.
• These cables are specially engineered
to protect signal integrity under
critical conditions by reducing hum,
noise and crosstalk.
• We offer multi-core cables with
special jacketing of PVC layer in
different sizes as per the customer
requirements.

11. Single Core Panel Wires
• Elcab is the leading manufacturer of
single core cables & panel cables which
are made by using superior quality of
raw materials and are available at
industry competitive prices all over
India. We make single core wires from
0.2 sq mm to 240 sq mm.
• Our PVC Insulated cables are
manufactured using state-of-the-art
extrusion lines from electrolytic grade
bright annealed copper which helps to
save power. The cables, insulated with a
special grade, high quality PVC
compound, offer high insulation
resistance and di-electric strength.

• Elcab telephone cables are
primarily designed to interconnect
telephone equipments. Elcab
Cables offers a range of
Telecommunication Cables also
suitable for interconnection of
other communication and control
equipments.
• Our range of telephone pair cables
features highly conductive copper
(Annealed bare/tinned). The
insulated cores are twisted to form
a pair. These pairs are laid up in the
form of sub units concentric layers.
