2. MULTICULTURAL
UNDERSTANDING
In today’s world it is important to know not only
your culture but other cultures as well.
In school children need to have more interaction with
their peers around the world.
We do have the access to one another with the
internet and all kinds of growing technology.
3. KNOWING ABOUT OTHER
CULTURES
In American classrooms we do not learn much about
other cultures.
What we learn are simple things like customs, foods,
holidays, and the like.
These things are not very important to become globally
4. KNOWING ABOUT OTHER
CULTURES EXAMPLE.
China
When we think of China
and what we are taught
we think of things such as
the Chinese New Year.
Another thing that pops
to mind is a dragon &
pandas.
We do not generally learn
about ways to become
connected and do not
learn the important things
about their culture.
5. KNOWING CULTURES
Our world is continuing to
melt together.
We are working more and
more with other countries
than ever before.
In order to keep up with our
advancing world we need to
learn about other cultures
other wise we will not be
able to keep up in our
growing world.
6. HELP FROM TECHNOLOGY
Students through out the
world have many
resources to connect
internationally.
We now have the internet
and cell phones to
connect with people
around the world.
This helps global
interaction tremendously.
7. BECOMING GLOBAL
Global interactions need to come
from all parts of the world.
Not only should we be learning about
other countries, other countries need
to know about ours.
If students from other countries do
not learn about us as well as us
learning their customs and
backgrounds then we will still not be
globally competitive.
8. INVOLVEMENT
Students in the classroom need to learn at an early
age.
The competition around the world is greatly
increasing.
Countries are advancing more and more so learning
at an early age will be extremely beneficial.
9. CQ+PQ>IQ
Curiosity Quotient + Passion Quotient > Intelligence
Quotient
When students want to learn the passion the teacher
shows wil increase.
When students are curious about other countries
and cultures they will want to learn and will learn
better which will help students learn globally.
10. THE WORLD IS FLAT
The world is flattening US.
We are not learning what we need to
be learning about other countries and
this is effecting us.
We have extremely low ranks in
problem solving skills.
We rank 35 of 40 in math and 3 of 40 in
science.
