Introduction
Welcome to my CAD/CAM design portfolio. I am a recent graduate from the University of Central
Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, finishing with a 3.75 GPA obtaining
University and Cum Laude honors. I have a passion for mechanical design, stemming from my
internship work at Lockheed Martin and culminating in my senior design project.
While a student at UCF, I was introduced to a variety of CAD software packages both in the
classroom and by my own exploration.This design portfolio provides some examples of my work
that I completed as coursework and projects that I have designed on my own time.
The software packages included in this portfolio include:
• SolidWorks 2014
• Creo Parametric 2.0
• Siemens NX 8.5
• Autodesk Revit 2016
• ANSYS CFX 16.2
Orlando Eye – SolidWorks 2014

This FerrisWheel is designed to replicated the Orlando Eye on International Drive in Orlando, Florida. I used pictures
from the Internet to match the design and approximate the dimensions.The Orlando Eye design was an independent
project.

GoPro Arm – SolidWorks 2014

The GoPro Arm was a component for a class group project. I was
responsible for the base and tripod of the arm, as shown in the images.
Bicycle – Creo Parametric 2.0

I have extensive experience in Creo Parametric 2.0 from my mechanical design internship at Lockheed Martin;
though, all of my work is proprietary. I created this bicycle on my own time to showcase the Creo Parametric 2.0 skills
that I learned.

Aviation Snips – Siemens NX 8.5

Deformation Plot Stress Plot
The design and analysis of a pair of Milwaukee Straight Cutting Snips was an
element of a classroom final project.The snips were modeled within NX 8.5
and a basic FEM was performed.The analysis included opposing forces on the
end of the handles and a material between the tips of the blades. Maximum
deformation and stress concentrations were observed and plotted.

Modern Home – Autodesk Revit 2016

I modeled this modern home on my own time to improve my
Revit 2016 skills.The home features a custom site plan with a
foundation and two levels.The interior of the home features
some basic components to establish the purpose of each
room.The variety of components was limited by the
restrictions on this student version of Revit 2016.

Burner Stack – ANSYS CFX 16.2
Geometry Model Velocity Streamline
This burner stack design was a component of our
Senior Design project.The goal of our project was to
create a laboratory used to test for tuberculosis in
resource-limited countries.The critical design
requirements include the ability to ventilate a room at
the flowrate requirements established by theWorld
Health Organization without the use of any
electricity.
This modeled burner stack was one of the potential
designs. It operates under the “stack effect” whereby
hot air rises, essentially creating ventilation. ANSYS
CFX was used to characterize the flow of air from the
cone into the main vertical stack; it was a basic
analysis to determine if the air entering from the cone
would induce the air in the main stack to flow at a
higher velocity. I self-taught the ANSYS CFX software
to include this analysis in our design reviews.
