14. Minneapolis Permit Information
• Permits not required
– Painting, wallpapering, carpet, changing cabinets
or countertops
– You can obtain plumbing, mechanical permits if
your are the property owner of a single family
house and if you do the work yourself. Call
Inspector for sign off of permit.
All other work, plumbing, carpentry, HVACs require
permits.
