Jaimie Ide has extensive experience in archaeology, forensic anthropology, and public education. She holds an MA in Anthropology from the University of Southern Mississippi and a BS in Anthropology from Middle Tennessee State University. Her work includes managing archaeological laboratories, conducting fieldwork, analyzing skeletal remains, and developing educational programs to teach the public. She has presented her research at several conferences and published an analysis of juvenile skeletal remains.

CSI: SOUTHERN MISS, 2010 TO PRESENT
Developed and presented a mobile mock crime scene with twelve forensic anthropology stations, including displays with hands-on teaching methods and
materials, developed for youth ages 8 to 14 years old specifically for education within the public school system and community outreach programs. Since
2010, the project has served nearly 1,000 students at 4 sites: Hattiesburg Public Library, Oak Grove Elementary School, Vancleave Elementary School,
and Thames Elementary School.
FRAZIER MUSEUM OF NATURAL SCIENCE EXHIBITS, 2010 TO 2011
Co-curated 2 permanent exhibits and a temporary exhibit in service to the University of Southern Mississippi’s Department of Biological Sciences. One
permanent exhibit displays a timeline of human biological evolution, while the other displays a hands-on exhibit demonstrating humans’ use of tools to
produce and prepare food. The temporary exhibit illustrates the process of evolution in a tarsier.
MISSISSIPPI ARCHAEOLOGY MONTH EXPO, 2010 TO 2011
Assisted in the preparation and implementation of a day-long special event featuring educational and fun activities for all ages, including archaeological
artifact identification, flintknapping, prehistoric technology stations, pottery production, forensics exhibits, and a mock archaeological excavation.
