2. Our policies are designed to help you: Hold on to what you work so hard for every day Protect your income from unexpected illness and accidents Supplement major medical by filling in the gaps
3. Medical bills can quickly take a toll on a family’s finances Reports show that nearly 6 in 10 workers don’t have a plan in place to handle the unexpected (source: 2013 Aflac Work Forces Report) Many would need to borrow from other sources such as savings or credit cards

Regardless of major medical coverage, 1 in 3 still have difficulty paying medical bills A study by the Kaiser Family Foundation, shows the vast majority of people with medical debt are insured 1 in 3 have difficulty paying their medical bills, regardless of major medical coverage In 2012, the majority of people with difficulty paying medical bills had employer-sponsored private insurance (ESI)
