Some people are all ready to lace up their running shoes, but wait!

to getting the higher dollars for your charity of choice.

It could be any activity, volunteering, or reading – it becomes about

7. “We would love to help but we have
to raise enough funds of our own”
So you might be asking - That all sounds great - but how
does this affect me and my group?
So what if we showed you how to raise funds while
working on your own mission???
You do need to raise funds right?
But…..
1. Not enough volunteers
2. We can’t take the risk of losing dollars
3. There is not enough time to do everything
4. We have already asked for too much from the community.
8. Think of it as 26.2 miles of collaboration!
We want something that everyone
- no matter what their activity level can participate.
Not everyone likes to run or can do a marathon all at once.
But what if:
It is available in steps?
It isn’t all about running/walking?
It gives us a way to give back?
It connects us with each other?

1 mile could be = 1 book that you have
read or read to someone (remember – March

The premise:

volunteering

Cognitive and attitudinal problems. Children exposed to
domestic violence are more likely to experience difficulties in
school and score lower on assessments of verbal, motor, and
cognitive skills. Slower cognitive development, lack of conflict
resolution skills, limited problem solving skills, pro-violence
attitudes, and belief in rigid gender stereotypes and male
privilege are other issues identified in the research.

19. Domestic violence is an epidemic affecting
individuals in every community, regardless of
age, economic status, sexual orientation,
gender, race, religion or nationality. Intimate
partner violence is often accompanied by
emotionally abusive and controlling behavior
which is only a fraction of a systemic pattern of
dominance and control.

“leader” to assemble a team to support his/her cause.

1.Select your recipient organization
2.Designate a leader of the group
3.Register your team with the Marathon chair for your designation
4.Hand out materials
5.Have your team solicit pledges
6.Have t-shirt information by deadline date
7.Collect info by deadline date
8.Turn into leader
9.Leader bring sign ups and picks up shirts and goes to photobooth
10.Be at the start line with your team by ____ on April 25, 2015.
