◦ You will login to InfoView with your NetID and password.

3. ◦ When logged in, the InfoView home page should display – with the Documents tab appearing
as the home page or others as listed based on your settings. Everyone should see Public Folders
– this folder will show all folders you have access too.
◦ All Faculty/Staff employees will have access to the WKU Campus Community folder once they have been
activated in HR.
◦ You must be granted access to any secure folders by contacting WKU ITS Security & Identity
Management.
4. ◦ The Documents tab should be the defaulted tab that appears when you access InfoView.
◦ This is changed by going to Preferences in the top right and selecting how you wish to view
your start page.
5. ◦ The Documents box will contain:
◦ My Favorites
◦ Inbox
◦ My Alerts
◦ Subscribed Alerts
◦ Personal Categories(which is not used)
◦ The Folder box will contain:
◦ Public Folders
◦ Student Folders
◦ Please note, this contains departmental folders
that are secure.
◦ Without access to a specific folder, this folder
will not be shown.
◦ WKU Campus Community
◦ The Search box allows you to search by
report name or detail
6. ◦ The Home tab has two blocks of information that you may use.
◦ My Recently Viewed Documents
◦ My Recently Run Documents
◦ The other three blocks of information will not be used often
7. ◦ The Navigation Tool will contain:
◦ View Link (opens the Prompts form)
◦ Properties Link (gives the title of Report and Description of what the report should contain)
◦ Date the Report was created and last modification
◦ The New Menu Link:
◦ Allows you to add folders if you use the My Favorites function
◦ You will not use any of the other links under this menu
8. ◦ The Organize Menu (when a report is highlighted) will allow you to create a shortcut in My
Favorites, Copy Shortcut, Paste Shortcut, and Delete.
◦ Never delete anything delivered by ITS.
◦ Only delete what you have created or generated.
◦ The Send Menu may be used by the campus community but will only be the email function.
9. ◦ The More Actions menu will use the schedule and history function.
◦ You will not use the:
◦ Mobile Properties
◦ Categories
◦ Some areas will be able to use the Document Link
◦ The Details Menu will display a summary of the report information
◦ When selected it will open a panel to the right of the form displaying the information
10. ◦ You schedule reports by:
◦ Finding the folder that contains the report you want to schedule.
◦ Select the report by doing a right click on the report title and selecting Schedule
11. ◦ Select the Prompts function on the left side
◦ Edit the Values of the Prompts and return to the Prompts Page
◦ Click Schedule in the bottom right corner
12. ◦ Once you run a report, the History page will come up showing the instances the report has been
ran.
◦ The status will be pending until it finishes processing, then will go to Success or Failed
◦ If needed, you may refresh the report
13. ◦ Changing the format of a report:
◦ Most are created in Crystal Report
◦ When in the Schedule report function, you will click on the Formats on the left side
◦ The menu drops down to list report types available
◦ Make sure your prompts are complete before clicking the Schedule in the bottom right
14. ◦ To view the History of a report:
◦ Highlight the report title
◦ Right click on the report
◦ In the menu, select History
◦ You will see a list of the report instances ran, who ran the report, as
well as any prompts used
