All pupils will receive group feedback,as
well as individual feedback.They will use
these points to pick out a paragraph that
they could improve,and write an
‘improvements paragraph’
Opportunities for Assessment:
Formative & summative
 Teacher questioning – teacher will ask students questions to check for understanding on
certain topics
 Improvements paragraph – students will choose a paragraph that they knowthey could
improve extensively.Using the feedback given by the teacher and the individual
feedback,they will write their own improvements paragraph.
Cognitive challenges:
Desirable difficulties for all abilities; how will students progress?
Writing an improvements paragraph – students will write an improvements
paragraph using feedback given by the teacher and the individual targets
that have been written on their assessment.
EBT strategies:
e.g. APK, reciprocal teaching, collaborative learning, advance & visual organisers,
similarities and differences, goals, repetition and practice, meta-cognition, feedback,
cognitive challenge, subject knowledge, summaries and note-taking
 Feedback – students will receive feedback for their assessment,
and they will act on it by writing an improvements paragraph.
