Process Description:
The business customer submits the LC documents to discount the Bills of Exchange. The back-
office team will enter the transaction in core banking system and generate SWIFT message and
send it to issuing bank for verification. The issuing bank will verify the details and send the Bill
Acceptance via SWIFT message. Once the bank receives the Bill Acceptance notification, the
back office team will authorize the transaction within core banking system, calculate the bank
charges and authorize the payment to the business customer.

Process Description:
The customer submits a manual remittance request at the bank branch, the payment request
will be scanned and queued in the Enterprise Document Management system (EDMS) by the
front desk. The Back-Office payments team will pick the cases from the EDMS queue on FIFO
basis and process the same. If the transaction is above EUR 50000, the case will be forwarded to
verification team for call confirmation of the transfer with the account holder. The Back office
team will enter the data into Core banking system and initiate the transfer after verifying
whether the account hold sufficient balance to process the transfer.

Process Description:
Sometimes the remittance request gets duplicated due to scanning and sending the same
documents multiple times or those which have manually processed however not removed it
from the queue. The EDMS has the rules set if there are multiple payment requests goes to
same beneficiary for the same amount for the same date, these payment requests will be
moved to duplicate payment request queues and the back-office team will verify the requests
and process the same.

Process Description:
The customer issued a standing instruction to make a fund transfer to a specified beneficiary on
a particular date for a mentioned amount. The Back-Office team will access all standing
instructions queued up in EDMS and set it up in the core-banking system. One day prior to the
due date, the back-Office team will verify if the customer has sufficient balance in their account.
If there is no sufficient balance, the request will be send to RM and RM will intimate the
customer about it. Else the team will push the standing instruction to payment processing
queue which will be processed in the next business day.
