1. Table of Contents
2. Introduction
2.1 Include statement of purpose
2.2 Include learning objectives
3. Method
Includes listing of components, as applicable, to be completed.
3.1 Read content
3.2 Complete post test
3.3 Complete skill’s checklist
4. Prerequisites
4.1 Identify professional status, educational level and experience required to complete
module.
5. Theory (Nursing Principles/ Accountability)*
5.1 Contains current body of knowledge from the literature
5.2 Subdivide into smaller units or sections with specific, logical progression of
information
5.3 Include diagrams if applicable
6. Implementation
6.1 Identify learning resources to complete module (videos, model, article, delegate)
7. References *
7.1 The current theory and practice is supported by including a relevant listing of
references used in preparing learning module
7.2 References should be within last 5 years of learning module completion/revision date
(Exception: land-mark studies or areas of practice for which there may not be current
research)
7.3 APA format (optional)
8. Self-test (as applicable) *
8.1 The post test determines whether learning objectives were met
8.2 The learner identifies incorrect answers and reviews learning module content to
ensure understanding.
9. Skills checklist (optional)*
9.1 A listing of sequential steps the Health Discipline must demonstrate in order to be
deemed competent
