Booz Allen Hamilton, Aberdeen, MD (2012 – Present)
Senior Software Engineer/ Senior Project Lead
I am the senior software engineer/project task lead EMD with a team of engineered and developed the Soldier Maintainer
Tool Set for DCGS-A and PEO C3T which consist of a color touch screen and embedded ARM computer. The device is a
Linux OS using Tomcat, Java and Qt software. The object of the device is to do backup and recovery of virtual machines and
to turn off and turn on server stack hardware and VMs an ESXi software with a single push of a button. I worked with our
fabrication shop to design and construct the anodized aluminum enclosure housing the screen and device. A number of units
were produced and deployed in Army Labs and on tactical infrastructure. The project incorporated a complete software life
cycle process incorporating Agile and a lean unified process with graphical artifacts created using Unified Modeling Language
(UML). Phase 2 provided LRIP for various demonstration events and Government lab use.
I managed multi-million dollar software/ hardware project that integrated them into a transportable tactical server solution for
the U.S. Army (C4ISR & DCGS-A) and USMC. We created synergies between disparaging open source cloud and non-
cloud software applications. Using infrastructure and software as a service solution we provide a common infrastructure that
provides entry and exit criteria for cross service applications to reside on a tactical common transportable/mobile server
solution. The entry criteria included a road map for security classification accreditation for both the software and hardware. I
implemented an Application lifecycle Management (ALM) process, an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Software Quality
Assurance (SQA), Risk Management and supported the sustainment of Configuration Management (CM). Using my software
engineering background I architected and designed a simplified ESXi interface for field use of backup and recovery of virtual
machines. My responsibilities included managing a 40 person team that included sub-contractors. I interface on a regular
basis with the U.S. Government clients discussing direction, support, capabilities, deployments and logistics. The project was
to develop a scalable computing platform to execute cloud capacities as part of federated nodes to ingest, mine and distribute
information products to analysts. The follow on task with a team of 12 was working with the government client to create a
command post computing environment (CPCE) creating efficiencies between different program offices and execute the
integration of software on a common operating environment.
InfoAssure, Inc. Annapolis, MD (2004-2012)
Director of Software Engineering
I am responsible for a 10 million dollar multiple year, multiple software projects that are lightly coupled utilizing service-
orientated architecture with OOP design principles. The projects are based on the successful certification of a cryptographic
key management system product. Each project is designed to be usable with a variety of third party applications and
hardware. I generated, updated and tracked the project tasks and requirements associated with each project. Each program
contained at least 5 separate development efforts. Implemented a software lifecycle policy that that is repeatable and is
reviewed with each iteration of a project. Reviews were conducted to enhance the projects efficiencies. I manage all software
engineers and direct there efforts based on skills and schedule needs. I am used WBS Pro, Application Lifecycle Management
(ALM) product for requirements mapping to Microsoft Project/Project Server and Team Foundation Server for task creation
and tracking. All requirements are managed via CaliberRM with traceability to project tasks and to Mercury Test Directory

for test management. All development is realized through Eclipse or Microsoft’s Visual Studio. These projects are an off
shoot of the successful proof of concept completed in 2008. The product included SharePoint, FireFox, Windows Explorer, IE
Plug-ins and a file system filter among others utilizing encryption. Provided a proof of concept of key management utilizing
encryption on various mobile devices.
Architected and directed the implementation using a .NET solution of InfoAssure’s Need2Know cryptographic key
management applications. This project was to establish as a proof of concept (POC) for revolutionary process to manage
cryptographic keys across multiple domains. The POC’s service orientated architecture was constructed in C# with SQL2000
and Oracle as the databases. All artifacts were produced using UML 1.4 standards in Enterprise Architect. Use cases were
constructed using MS word utilizing the Rational Unified Process. It was also my responsibility to mentor the requirements
analysts in the use of UML and where it fits in the software lifecycle including setting up the Quality Assurance doctrine and
department.
