2. My name is Jorge Rivera and I was born and
raised in the small island of Puerto Rico.
Growing up in Puerto Rico you either play
baseball or basketball. The rich culture also
involves music which is something that
shaped me up as a kid. I ultimately decided to
play baseball and it became my passion. My
parents explained to me that if I disciplined
myself and stayed true to my passion I could
earn a scholarship to play the game I loved.
That is what I did. I dedicated myself to the
game of baseball which earned me a
scholarship to play Division 1 baseball.
Throughout that process I fell in love with
sports and the industry behind it.
