THE PROJECT
Yo Cocino Empleo UNITES two necessities
that often happen to follow one another:
unemployment and, as a consequence, the need
to provide for the basic nutrition needs.
It is addressed to families in which one or more
members are unemployed, with dependent
children and at risk of social exclusion.
OBJECTIVE
Yo Cocino Empleo UNITES two objectives:
Supporting the families in the search for
employment:
The unemployed members of the families commit
to participate in an active way to an itinerary of
working inclusion which aim is the empowering
of their position in the job market.
We contribute to cover the basic nutrition
needs:
We provide with menus, which are given daily by various hotels
and restaurants located in Madrid. In addition we prepare
baskets containing basic food, hygiene and cleaning products

1 KILO DE AYUDA
Provides economical support for the development of the pro-
ject through the sale of donation cards.
FOOD BANK OF MADRID
Contributes with perishable and non perishable goods for the
baskets and to complete the menus for the beneficiaries.
HOTELS AND RESTAURANTS.
Several of them participate daily to the donation of the menus.
COMMUNITY OF MADRID.
Eases the fund-raising in the context of the subsi-
dies given to non-profit organizations.
FRANCISCO DE VITORIA UNIVERSITY
Promoter of the Altius Francisco de Vitoria Foun-
dation which arranges for the technical coordina-
tion of the project.
VOLUNTEERS
Collaborate in the preparation of the baskets, in
delivering the menus, in the organization of the
storage and also supporting the management of
job offer and demand.

The project Yo Cocino Empleo is made possible by the work in network and the collaboration between different en-
tities.

MENUS
Distributing menus and baskets makes it possible for the user
to concentrate in the search for work without anxiety.
We count on the collaboration with hotels and restaurants that
donates menus on a daily basis.
The menus are delivered everyday in authorized facilities where
the families come to and bring their menus home.
Furthermore, the hotel companies, always a dynamic sector of
the job market, can offer jobs to the beneficiaries.
BASKETS
We regularly prepare and deliver baskets with basic food,
personal hygiene and cleaning products.
SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE
PROJECT
We gave support for the nutrition needs of 169
families.
√ 534 beneficiaries.
√ 18.938 delivered menus.
√ 88.391 kilos of food for the baskets.

ON-GOING SUPPORT
The aim of the project is that the unemployed members
of the families gather the capacities which can give them
the maximum number of opportunities to enter the
job market.
To do this, the empowering of the people and their abi-
lities, the encouragement and promotion of self-esteem
are fundamental: the person is the only one who
owns the key to his or her achievements.
From Yo Cocino Empleo we give personal support, skills
and tools to make these achievements possible.
We coordinate our job with other projects of the Altius
Francisco de Vitoria Foundation, as an addition to the
Incorpora program, the Job Agency of the Community of
Madrid, Altius Hogar and Emplea+.

We look for the users to be committed to take the
steps needed to enter the job market..
Our goal is to be able to follow 60 families within
a period of six months.
RESULTS
We have supported 169 people in the search, orienta-
tion and training to find a job::
√ 100% of the people have entered in the
Foundation program of working integration.
√ 30% of the people have signed job contracts
