COACHED BY PAUL:
That a Pastor … that must do the
work of an EVANGELIST …
11.
12. 2 Timothy 2:2 NIV
“And the things you have heard me say
in the presence of many witnesses
entrust to reliable people who will also
be qualified to teach others”
13.
14. 1 Timothy 6:11

this and Pursue righteousness and
godliness, faith, love, endurance, and
gentleness.

“And the things you have heard me say in
the presence of many witnesses
entrust to reliable people who will also
be qualified to teach others
18. Young Timothy was coached and instructed by
Apostle Paul, to pursue godly legacy and pass
it on to faithful men who are able to coach
others.
19. “The greatest legacy we can leave are the lives
we have influenced for Christ
throughout our journey” –Bill Keller
NINONGS AND NINANGS
choice is very important!
20. PURSUE means to follow, to go after.
Every person is pursuing something:
a career, wealth,
success for the family,
healthy relationship,
or opportunity to travel and work in abroad.
21. As the need arise, the effort behind that
pursuit increases.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but
what if pursuing those things ultimately
isn’t healthy or good along the way?
22. As a Christian Coach* we need to
Pursue Truth, Life and Team, so we can
first be confident in ourselves before
passing on a godly legacy to the next
generation.
23. Legacy is simply what you leave
behind, the contribution that
remains after you are gone.
24. A legacy is the way you are
remembered based on the
principles you stood for the lives
you impacted, and the reputation
you developed.
25. For better or worse, we all leave a
legacy.
Make sure as you pursue Christ,
leave a lasting legacy to next
generation that will inherent the
kingdom of God.
26. To Pursue Legacy you and I must:
a. Pursue Truth THE TOOLS
b. Pursue Life THE SECRET
c. Pursue Team THE RIPPLE
27. WHY DID JESUS COME?
WHY?
Jesus came to testify to the TRUTH.
As the enemy filled the world with LIES,
Jesus came to bring TRUTH!
28.
29. John 18:37–38a
“You are a king, then!” said Pilate.
Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king.
In fact, the reason I was born and came
into the world is to testify to the truth.
Everyone on the side of truth
listens to me.”
30. HOW IMPORTANT IS TRUTH
TO JESUS?
John 1:17
“For the law was given through Moses;
grace and truth came through Jesus
Christ”
31. John 14:6
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the
truth and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me.’”
32. I Timothy 2:3-4
“This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
who wants all men to be saved and to
come to a knowledge of the truth.”
33. THE TENDENCIES OF
SINFUL MEN
"They will turn their ears away from the
truth and turn aside to myths.“
2 Timothy 4:4
35. “exchange the truth of God for a lie”
Romans 1:25
Jesus said that he came to testify to the
truth when he was on trial
(before Pilate).
The real trial: truth vs. lie
36. There is a “cosmic battle” between
truth and reality, on the one side,
and lies and illusions on the other.

1. Joseph is remembered as a man
of LOYALTY.
3. Joseph is remembered as a man
of PERSPECTIVE.
4. Joseph is remembered as a man
of FAITH.
50. What does God say about legacies?
• Everyone leaves a legacy, and some of

56. MULTIGENERATIONAL LEGACIES
Jonathan Edwards, was a Puritan
Preacher in the 1700s. He was one of
the most respected preachers in his
day. He attended Yale at the age of
thirteen and later went on to become
the president of Princeton college.
57. He married his wife Sara in 1727 and
they were blessed with eleven children.
Every night when Mr. Edwards was
home, he would spend an hour
conversing with his family and then
praying a blessing over each child.
58. Jonathan and his wife Sarah passed on
a great, godly legacy to their eleven
children.
59. An American educator, A.E. Winship
decided to trace the descendants of
Jonathan Edwards almost 150 years
after his death. His findings are
remarkable, especially when compared
to another man from the same time
period known as Max Jukes.
60. Jonathan Edwards’ legacy includes:
1 U.S. Vice-President,
1 Dean of a law school,
1 dean of a medical school,
3 U.S. Senators,
3 governors,
3 mayors,
61. Jonathan Edwards’ legacy includes:
13 college presidents,
30 judges,
60 doctors,
65 professors,
75 Military officers,
80 public office holders,
63. How may this be explained?
Edwards was a godly man, but he was
also hard working, intelligent and moral.
Furthermore, Winship states, “Much of
the capacity and talent, intensity and
character of the more than 1,400 of
Edwards’ family is due to Mrs.
Edwards.”
64. Max Jukes’ legacy came to
people’s attention when the family trees
of 42 different men in the New York
prison system were traced back to him.
He lived in New York at about the same
period as Edwards.
65. The Jukes family originally was studied
by sociologist Richard L. Dugdale in
1877.
66. Jukes’ descendants included:
7 murderers,
60 thieves,
190 prostitutes,
150 other convicts,
310 paupers,
and 440 who were physically wrecked
by addiction to alcohol.
67. Of the 1,200 descendants that were
studied, 300 died prematurely.
69. “How a parent raises their child
— the love they give, the values they
teach, the emotional environment they
offer, the education they provide
— influences not only their children but
the four generations to follow, either for
good or evil.”
70. What a challenging thought!
If someone studied your descendants
four generations later, what would you
want them to discover?
Do you want an Edwards’ legacy or a
Jukes’ legacy? The life you live will
determine the legacy you leave!
71.
72. THERE is a KEY …
THERE could be a TURN
AROUND for everyone!!!
73.
74. GOD LOVES YOU
SIN SEPARATES YOU
JESUS RESCUES YOU
WILL YOU TRUST JESUS?
76. We're pilgrims on the journey
Of the narrow road,
And those who've gone before us
Line the way.
Cheering on the faithful,
Encouraging the weary,
77. Their lives a stirring testament
To god's sustaining grace.
O may all who come behind us
Find us faithful,
May the fire of our devotion
Light their way.
78. May the footprints that we leave,
Lead them to believe,
And the lives we live
Inspire them to obey.
O may all who come behind us
Find us faithful.
79. Surrounded by so great
A cloud of witnesses,
Let us run the race
Not only for the prize,
But as those who've gone before us.
Let us leave to those behind us,
The heritage of faithfulness …
80. Passed on thru godly lives.
After all our hopes and dreams
Have come and gone,
And our children sift thru all
We've left behind,
May the clues that they discover,
81. And the mem'ries they uncover,
Become the light that leads them,
To the road we each must find.
