What will you introduce early in the film to make the audience like/care about your
character?
The watch which will represent their deceased partner.
What is the ending to your film?
She decides she isn’t ready to move on from her partner and ignores the potential love
interest as she isn’t ready yet.
Why is that your ending? What reaction are you hoping to elicit in the audience?
Sympathy, as an audience you should want her to move on from the pain that she is
clearly experiencing from the past, it may also make people think how they would
react under similar circumstances.
What are the stakes for your character? What will happen if they don’t get what they
want?
They will continue to be unhappy which is perhaps inevitable at that moment in time
but is definitely something that they don’t want.
4. 3 Act Structure; Define each act
Act 1-Character comes home from a date happy but then sees the watch of their dead partner.
Act 2-She then imagines him still there but then realises that he is no longer with her.
Act 3- She decides to ignore the date forsaking her happiness because she is not yet ready to move on from
him.

9. Amber Hutton will be my actor for this performance. I also
have the back-up of Fraser Hardwick and have pre-emptively
arranged potential travel arrangement if need be for Fraser.
I shall be the cameraman but can draft in my Mum if for some
reason I am unable to do the filming myself.
There is no backup for editing and that will have to be done by
me under any circumstance.
10. My only filming location will be my bedroom so it is very
unlikely that it will be unavailable to me. If so I can use
Ambers room and have arranged travel if necessary to get
there.

SHOOTING SCHEDULE:

14. I am going to use a very minimalist audio variety within my
piece. This means that there won’t be a lot of sound at all and
any sound that there is will be kept quiet. This means I wont
be doing a lot of further audio recording because I don’t want
people to really hear it as the focus is more on the visual
rather than what you can see.
I am going to record door noises and her walking up the stairs
however because this will be before the music kicks in and I
will need some supplementary noise.
15. If I don't run out of time I want to make my own music on
garage band. I wanted to add a slow piece in the background
which would help portray the appropriate emotion of the
scene. I managed to find a royalty-free piano piece which was
minimalistic enough that it didn’t dominate the scene. This
will work if I run out of time
I want the music to be quiet within as once again I don’t want
it to be overwhelming but instead want it to be subtle and
make people to feel natural whilst watching the piece.
