Soil nutrient analysis of timber sales in the White Mountains National Forest (Collaboration with National Forest Service)
Undergraduate thesis: Aluminum and Calcium Concentrations In Timber Sales of the White Mountains National Forest
o Drafted and implemented methods for in situ soil sampling, tree surveying, and laboratory data processing and analysis.
Experience with preparing uni-algal cultures, cataloging collected lichen specimens, in situ invasive plant identification.
o Undergraduate Research: Effects of acid rain on cyanobacteria found in the rivers and streams of Connecticut.
Field Experience: Sampling of soils, river, lakes, and wetlands, forested and desert ecosystems.
o Backcountry camping and data collection in New Hampshire and Maine.
o GPS data to GIS formatting, including work with trail mapping and wetland delineations.
