  4. Description: The value of investments in fintech companies in the Americas decreased by 37 percent in 2022, compared to 2021. This was an even bigger decrease than between 2019 and 2020. The value of investments into fintechs showed the same tendency in the EMEA region, where the total amount of investments dropped to 44.9 billion U.S. dollars from 79 billion U.S. dollars a year earlier. The Asia Pacific region, on the other hand, saw a slight increase in investment activity in the fintech sector.
