Dadasaheb Phalke is considered the father of Indian cinema. He directed India's first full-length feature film Raja Harishchandra in 1913. Ksan Kanya directed by Moti B. Gidvani in 1937 was India's first film made in color. L.V. Prasad was a famous actor, producer and director who received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1982 for his lifetime contributions to Indian cinema.
